2021.10.18 15:18 Realistic-Bobcat-229 I quit, felt great, tried to smoke again in mOdErAtIoN and yeah, that’s not going to work for me.

I have the self control of a small undisciplined child. It started as a small toke before our evening walks. And then it was me vaping all evening after the kid goes to bed. Then it was, “if I make it to my afternoon workout, I can smoke as a reward.”
So I’m back to the crushing wave of anxiety and weird hot flashes of the early days. Fuck me why am I like this?

2021.10.18 15:18 EntireSovietOnion One glorious AF week down

Ah, I forgot how amazing alcohol free weekends are.

The high I get from accomplishing my goals through my passions is better than any feeling alcohol EVER gave me.
It's now Monday morning and I feel so refreshed. My laundry is clean. My dogs are happy. I feel rejuvenated and ready for the week.
It's insane how much more fun weekends are without drinking. Here's to another great AF week.

2021.10.18 15:18 DocumentObvious Did Adam and Eve have bellybuttons?

I know it's a super silly question, but I'll try my best to explain this question.
So we all know that according to Islam, Adam and Eve were the first human male and female to ever exist (when I say human I mean humans that look, walk, and generally behave like us since according to Islam Adam and Eve couldn't possibly be 'monkeys'). If Adam and Eve were humans then we can all agree that they were mammals. If they were mammals then they would've had bellybuttons. But here's the problem - why would they need bellybuttons? The single use of a bellybutton is to get the female's nutrients to the fetus through the umbilical cord that's attach to the fetus' bellybutton. But we know that Adam and Eve didn't have mothers, or any organism that supplied their nutrients through an umbilical cord - so does that mean that they didn't have them?
There would then be 2 answers to this case:

  1. Allah made bellybuttons for Adam and Eve because it was necessary for their kids to have a genetic blueprint of a bellybutton.
  2. Allah made Adam and Eve not have bellybuttons but somehow their offspring have them.
    1. Their kids had them.
    2. Their offspring slowly developed bellybuttons through an evolution-type process.
Although it won't hurt Adam and Eve to have bellybuttons there would then be no use of them in heaven...unless Allah knew they would eat the fruit and go to earth to populate it - this goes well with explanation number one. But with this in mind, the notion that 'God is all knowing but decides to make things, bad or good, happen anyway' is shouting at our face right now. If Allah knew that Adam and Eve would eat the fruit and go to earth and populate it, and he made bellybuttons for them because of that, why was he disappointed at Adam and Eve for eating the forbidden fruit? An explanation would be that their bellybuttons were countermeasures - just in case they eat the fruit. But this implies that Allah is not all-knowing.
Now we're left with answer number 2: they didn't have bellybuttons but somehow their offspring had them. For the first explanation: 'their kids had bellybuttons' - how did their kids immediately have them out of nowhere without having the genetic blueprint of bellybuttons from their parents? For the second explanation: 'their offspring developed bellybuttons' - if they developed bellybuttons through this evolution-type process, then we are agreeing with evolution and how it alters organisms over generations. But as you know, evolution don't really go well with religious claims.
If I were a Muslim I would choose answer 2 explained by explanation 2 because it seems more probable. But again, Adam was said to be made out of clay/earth/mud and Eve was made out of Adam's rib - so we can't really expect much in terms of things making sense here.
It would be pretty wild if a person with a degree in science, or anyone really, who's willing to explain things more. I would like to hear your thoughts and maybe better explanations on the matter!

2021.10.18 15:18 mountainsofcats Please behavior I just want some fun games after work I beg of you.

I had a 3 day weekend last week and was extremely bored and decided to sweat to red ranks. Since the rank reset I've been playing much more casually. The game simply does not care the last 3 nights in a row everytime I get on I go against SWF after SWF that are just simply so much better at the game then me. I just want to have fun but I can't even get a kill becuace it feels like I'm going against the top 100. I'm sorry behaviour if I tricked you into thinking I was actually good at this game but I assure you I'm not.
